Profile & Story
The Saperavi grapes for this wine are from Iberieli’s vineyard located on gently sloping alluvial slopes in the prestigious Teliani Appellation of Georgia’s famed Kakheti Valley. Vines are planted at 480-490m(~1600feet) and the soil is sandy clay loam with alluvial stones. Viticulture is wholly organic in accordance with the strict specifications of the Natural Wine Association of Georgia. Co-fermented on skins with a relatively light amount of berries and only native on-grape yeast in qvevri for 2 weeks and then aged for 11 months in qvevri. Malolactic fermentation is completed naturally. Importer: Ghvinos Wine Group LLC
