Profile & Story
This fruit comes from dry-farmed old vines in Maule, between 74 and 120 years old. The focus is on preserving the natural energy and tension that define this variety. These deeply rooted vines, yield small crops of concentrated fruit shaped by granite soils and a warm yet wind-influenced climate. Fermentation is carried out with native yeasts, with careful but purposeful extraction to capture structure and vibrancy. There is no barrel aging, allowing the wine to remain driven by its origin. The result is a Carignan that emphasizes freshness, linear acidity, and a firm yet balanced tannic backbone — a pure expression of Maule’s historic secano vineyards.
