Profile & Story
Famille Hugel has cultivated vineyards in the fortified Alsace village of Riquewihr for over 375 years across 13 generations. The Classic Pinot Gris is hand-picked and gravity-fed to the press without pumping, fermented in temperature-controlled vats, and lightly filtered just before bottling for a truly dry, gastronomic style.
Tasting Notes
A straw-yellow robe with slightly coppery highlights. Youthful aromas of yellow fruit and florals give way, with age, to notes of fig, apricot, pear and waxed wood. Rounded and mouth-watering on the palate, light yet full-bodied, held together by a pleasant acid structure.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs well with terrines, white meats and fish in sauce.
