Philippe Auchere is a vigneron in Bue, just outside Sancerre, farming responsibly to protect soil structure and biodiversity - hoeing and mowing rather than heavy tractor work - and fermenting every wine on its own indigenous yeasts. 'Les Deserts' is one of the estate's named vineyard parcels.
Tasting Notes
A classic Sancerre expression of Sauvignon Blanc, with bright citrus and gooseberry fruit set against the appellation's characteristic flinty, chalky minerality and crisp acidity.
