Chateau d'Esclans, in the heart of Provence northeast of St. Tropez, was acquired by Sacha Lichine in 2006 with the aim of making the world's greatest roses, igniting what became known as the 'Rose Renaissance.' Whispering Angel, its flagship wine, is made from Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle (Vermentino) and Syrah, harvested at night to preserve freshness and vinified in temperature-controlled stainless steel.
