Domaine du Héron farms a 28-hectare estate in the Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation of the Loire Valley, about 20km from Nantes, owned by Philippe Nevoux and currently transitioning to certified organic farming. “Le Nid” is made from 100% Melon de Bourgogne from vines 50+ years old rooted in mica-schist soils, aged sur lie for added texture.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold with a saline, mineral nose of lemon, green apple and pear; a dry, high-acid palate with a briny finish, a classic match for oysters and other shellfish.
