Donini traces its name to a turn-of-the-20th-century Milanese trattoria owner whose regulars trusted his wine selections; his heirs later trademarked the family name. Today Donini (Ca'Donini) offers accessible, well-made Italian varietal wines. This Montepulciano d'Abruzzo DOC is a blend of roughly 85% Montepulciano and 15% Sangiovese.
Tasting Notes
Deep ruby red with an intense, berry-like bouquet; dry and savory on the palate with notes of blackberry jam and good, approachable tannins.
