About the Wine

Each year we create Seafarer as a blend of fruit from our coastal vineyards to create a truly harmonious wine that showcases why we make wine here on the coast. The goal is to create a wine that is more about overall texture, depth, and coastal complexity than individual site expression. In 2023, the blend is based around six vineyards: Spanish Springs, Rincon, Edna Ranch, Marfarm, Greengate and Cal Poly Vineyards, all of which are less than 6 miles from the Pacific Ocean, making them some of the most coastal vineyards in all of California.

Tasting Notes

Bright and highly aromatic, showcasing floral accents that lift crunchy red fruit notes of cranberry, cherry, and ripe strawberry, along with blood orange and black tea. Savory hints of forest floor, new leather, and warm baking spices add depth. The palate is lively and energetic, with waves of juicy red fruits framed by roasted nuts, gentle French oak, and a touch of nutmeg. Balanced acidity keeps the finish long and focused, with layers of texture and nuance.
