Absolution Cellars Tannat Reserve
2020, Willow Creek District AVA, Paso Robles , USA
About the Wine
Only our second wine to ever carry the “Reserve” designation. This 100% Tannat from one of the premier vineyards in Paso Robles' famed Willow Creek District spent 46 months in barrel to tame its namesake tannins.
Tasting Notes
A stunning hue of purple velvet, these powerful, opulent, and complex wine features aromas of vanilla, stewed blue and black fruit, baking spices, pepper, and subtle floral notes, with dark chocolate, cardamom, hot blueberries in the sun, leather, and pure opulence in the mouth, with playful finish of velvety tannins that dance on the tongue.
Pairing Notes
Pairs nicely with high protein/high fat foods such as a richly marbled ribeye, short ribs, bone marrow, and pork belly, and a decadent fudge brownie, curling up in your favorite chair, celebratory cigars, and/or a warm bubble bath after dinner.
