G.D. Vajra is one of the Langhe's pioneering organic estates, founded in 1971-72 by Aldo and Milena Vajra; Aldo was among the earliest growers in Piedmont to farm organically. This Langhe Nebbiolo DOC is sourced from high-elevation, organically farmed vineyards across Barolo, Novello and Sinio, offering an approachable introduction to the Nebbiolo grape, aged 8-14 months mostly in stainless steel with a small portion in neutral oak.
Tasting Notes
Bright ruby red, with a vibrant, floral bouquet of rose petals and violets alongside fresh berries and hints of dark fruit, lavender and mint. Elegant and complex on the palate, with crunchy red fruit, orange peel and sweet spice over earthy, mineral undertones.
