Profile & Story
Eric Chevalier farms in Saint-Philbert-de-Grand-Lieu, in the Pays Nantais at the western edge of the Loire Valley, better known for Muscadet. His estate has been certified organic since 2020, and this Chardonnay -- labeled Val de Loire since it falls outside Muscadet's Melon de Bourgogne rules -- is raised entirely in stainless steel with no oak.
Tasting Notes
Pale gold; floral aromas of crisp apple and pear lead to a saline, mineral palate with bright acidity and a clean, briny finish reflecting the estate's coastal Atlantic terroir.
