Profile & Story

Bodegas Puerto del Leon is the project of winemaker Paco Chinchilla in the Sierras de Malaga, Andalusia. Alto Jabonero is a Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo blend made with native-yeast fermentation and a light sulfur addition at bottling, resting in bottle since the 2014 vintage. 14% ABV.

Tasting Notes

A decade of bottle age has softened this brooding red into elegant, well-integrated tannins around dark cherry, blackcurrant jam, cinnamon, tamarind and tobacco.
