Bucklin Old Hill Ranch (Will Bucklin), Sonoma Valley. The 'Ancient' Field Blend comes from the 12-acre Ancient Block, one of California's oldest vineyards (planted 1885), a field blend of ~30 varieties led by Zinfandel (~60%) and Grenache (~15%); dry-farmed on red clay loam, St. George rootstock. Open-top stainless fermentation, punched down twice daily ~10 days, aged 18 months in French oak (~25% new). ~15-15.5% alc.
