Ilatium Morini, Mezzane di Sotto (Illasi valley), Veneto. The Amarone (Campo Leon) is Corvina/Corvinone 70%, Rondinella 20%, Croatina and Oseleta 10%; grapes hand-harvested and air-dried 100-120 days, then aged about 30 months in French and American oak (220-500 L) and 8-10 months in bottle. 16.5% alc.
Tasting Notes
Ruby red; intense, complex nose of ripe cherry, sweet spice, berry jam, cherries in alcohol, cocoa, coffee and vanilla; warm and soft on the palate with elegant tannins and a persistent finish.
