Profile & Story
Luis Seabra, a leader of Portugal's new-wave winemaking. 'Granito Cru' is 100% Alvarinho (planted 1989) on granite soils at 50-150 m in Moncao e Melgaco, Vinho Verde; destemmed and crushed with no added sulfur, cold-settled 48 hours, fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged nine months in Eastern European oak with full malolactic and lees contact. 12.5% alc; vegan.
Tasting Notes
Brilliant straw; high-toned, mineral-driven aromas of lemon peel, green apple, lemongrass and seashells; impressive weight with laser-focused acidity and incisive lemon, unripe peach, green apple and green mango over pervasive mineral notes.
