Domaine Zafeirakis is based in Tyrnavos, in the PGI Tyrnavos zone of Thessaly, central Greece, where the Zafeirakis family has farmed vines for more than a hundred years. Fourth-generation winemaker Christos Zafeirakis, after studying and working in Italy, returned home to plant the family's first organic vineyard in 2005 and now farms organically and biodynamically, guided by what he describes as 'love, knowledge, and respect to tradition' in service of expressing the vineyard's own aromas and flavors in the glass. This Assyrtiko is fermented and aged in stainless steel.
