Troupis Winery farms the high Mantinia plateau in Arcadia, in the Peloponnese, where Moschofilero has been grown for millennia. 'Hoof & Lur' is the winery's homage to the wines their fathers and grandfathers would recognize: made with skin contact and spontaneous fermentation from naturally occurring yeasts, then left unfined and unfiltered with minimal sulfites, in a deliberately old-style, low-intervention approach to the grape.
Tasting Notes
Floral on the nose, with notes of powdered sugar and blood orange, followed by citrus and fresh acidity that bring vibrancy to the palate.
Pairing Recommendation
An excellent match for Mediterranean dishes and seafood. Best served around 12°C to explore its character.
