Aegerter was founded by Jean-Luc Aegerter in 1988, with the domaine's first vines purchased in 1994; Paul Aegerter now manages close to 50 hectares across most of Burgundy's appellations. Les Petites Corvées is grown on the limestone heights of the Plateau de Chaux, hand-harvested and carefully destemmed, with a 2-4 day cold pre-fermentation maceration before 8 months' aging in demi-muids.
