Profile & Story
The Montaña family's roots trace to the origins of the modern Rioja industry in the late 19th century; Román Montaña consolidated the family business in 1920 in medieval cellars beneath Haro, capital of Rioja Alta. His grandson Óscar Montaña now directs over 270 acres across Rioja Alta and Alavesa, including a notably high average vine age and significant plantings of the rare Graciano grape.
Tasting Notes
A traditional Rioja Crianza — red-fruit and vanilla-oak aromatics from barrel aging, medium body and soft, well-integrated tannins.
