Pierre & Antonin was founded by childhood friends Pierre Caizergues and Antonin Bonnet, who took over the family estate Domaine de Stricou in the Malepère massif west of Carcassonne in 2022, farming organically. Petit Sauvage is made from Cabernet Cortis, one of the PIWI (fungus-resistant hybrid) varieties — a cross of Cabernet Sauvignon and Solaris — that anchor the estate's zero-additive, zero-sulfur natural winemaking.
