Project 26 is a Mendoza label created by Matias Frega, a winemaker, and Germain Michel, a sommelier, both also restaurateurs; the two met surfing and built their winery at roughly 3,000 feet in Valle de Uco, Vista Flores — one of Mendoza's premier Malbec zones. Cassette is their Malbec bottling, structured in part with a small amount of Cabernet Franc found growing in the vineyard, made with the aim of delivering a high-quality, food-friendly by-the-glass pour.
