Champagne Joseph Perrier was founded in 1825 in Châlons-en-Champagne, one of the few remaining Champagne houses still headquartered in the Marne valley rather than Reims or Épernay. Cuvée Royale Brut blends Chardonnay (35%), Pinot Noir (35%) and Pinot Meunier (30%), aged three years in the house's historic Gallo-Roman chalk cellars with 20% reserve wines and a 7g/L dosage.
Tasting Notes
Pale yellow-gold with copper highlights; a discreet, fine, aromatically complex nose of apple, pear and peach. The palate combines complexity with lightness, floral white-flower notes giving way to a fruity peach finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Best enjoyed as an aperitif or through a full meal; the house recommends salmon gravlax or shaved Parmesan.
