Patient Cottat is the historic label of the Fournier family, founded in 1950 by Paul Fournier in Verdigny in the Sancerre area of the Loire; the Villebois family has continued the estate since 2015. Le Grand Caillou Pinot Noir comes from 15-year-old vines on clay soils, cold-soaked for a week before a roughly 7-day fermentation.
Tasting Notes
An elegant, bright Pinot Noir with sweet strawberry and dried-honey aromatics, cranberry and red-currant fruit, and a light peppery lift.
