Profile & Story

Patrice Colin is an 8th-generation winemaker whose family has farmed vines since 1735 in Thoré-la-Rochette, in the Coteaux-du-Vendômois — the most northerly appellation of the Loire. Perles Rouges is a 100% Gamay pétillant naturel, organically farmed from old vines and harvested by hand, given its first and only fermentation in bottle in the ancestral method.

Tasting Notes

A crunchy, spicy red pét-nat with dried-cherry and cranberry fruit, a peppery, herbal finish and the large, soft bubbles typical of the méthode ancestrale.
