Pierre & Antonin was founded by childhood friends Pierre Caizergues and Antonin Bonnet, who took over the family estate Domaine de Stricou in the Malepère massif west of Carcassonne, farming organically. Petit Sauvage Rouge is made from 100% Cabernet Cortis, one of the PIWI (fungus-resistant hybrid) varieties that anchor the estate's zero-additive, zero-sulfur natural winemaking — destemmed and crushed into raw concrete vats for a short 10-day maceration, then aged 6 months in concrete.
