Weingut Heinrich, founded by Gernot and Heike Heinrich in Gols, Burgenland in 1990, farms nearly 90 biodynamic (Demeter/Respekt-certified) hectares around Lake Neusiedl. 'Naked Orange' blends Chardonnay, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Traminer, and Muscat Ottonel, hand-harvested and macerated on skins for up to two weeks before spontaneous fermentation and elevage in amphora and large neutral oak, bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal added SO2.
Tasting Notes
Vibrant mandarin, blood orange, and guava aromas layered with white flowers and a peppery spice note; a lively, textural palate with delicate skin-contact tannins and a light mineral finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Well suited to aromatic, spiced dishes -- Asian cuisine in particular.
