Comenzó is a Cava produced under Spain's DO Cava designation using the traditional method (segunda fermentación en botella), blending the white workhorse grape Viura (Macabeo) with Grenache for added fruit and body — an unusual pairing for Cava, which is more commonly built on Macabeo/Xarel-lo/Parellada, but consistent with modern producers who use a touch of Grenache for roundness.

Tasting Notes

Pale straw in color with a fine, persistent mousse. Crisp green apple and citrus on the nose with a light toasty note typical of traditional-method sparkling wine; dry (Brut) on the palate with clean, refreshing acidity.
