About the Wine
The vineyard was planted in 1991 with Merlot, Cabernet, Sangiovese, and Syrah with the intention of expressing an affirmation of the highest quality from the Bordelaise Varietals planted in Bolgheri, combined with the ability of elegance throughout the Tuscan Sangiovese and the complexity of the Mediterranean Syrah. Only natural yeasts are present. The wine rests in French oak barriques (1/5 new) for a period of 18-24 months.
Tasting Notes
In the glass a dark ruby red color. On the medium+ nose aromas of blackberries, dark cherries, and blueberries with hints of herbs and spices. On the palate dry, medium+ bodied, and very elegant, with medium acidity and ripe tannins. Dark cherries, black currants with spicy oak on the balanced palate with a nice and long finish.
