Mouton Cadet is produced by Baron Philippe de Rothschild from a network of HVE (High Environmental Value)-certified Bordeaux winegrowers. The rose blend leans on Merlot for fruit and roundness, sourced in part from Pierre Blanc's vineyard at Flaujagues on the Dordogne, and matures three months in vat on its lees with minimal sulfite additions.
Tasting Notes
Pale, almost lychee pink. The nose opens on citrus, mint and pepper, developing red fruit -- redcurrant and wild strawberry -- and a hint of grapefruit; fresh and zesty on the palate, with a smooth strawberry-jam finish.
