Château Vitallis has been a family wine estate since 1835, now in its sixth generation under Denis Dutron and his son Maxime, farming organically with indigenous yeasts from a 13th-century château at the foot of the Roche de Solutré. "Les Vignes du Château" is sourced from vines averaging 35 years old on clay-limestone Jurassic soils, vinified over 11–12 months in 30% oak barrels and 70% temperature-controlled stainless steel.
Tasting Notes
Bright, pale gold in color, with an open nose of hawthorn, acacia blossom, and citrus fruit entwined with a light touch of spice; a crisp attack builds to fullness with candied citrus and a zesty, mineral finish.
Pairing Recommendation
A perfect aperitif wine that also pairs well with shellfish and fish, as well as white meats in a creamy sauce.
