Hazel & Axe is produced by Erikson & Caradin from top vineyards across Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and Mendocino County. The line is named for the partners' grandmother Hazel, whose expression "wield your axe" — drawing on inner strength to keep moving forward — inspired the brand. The wine is aged 12 months in 100% second-use French oak.

Tasting Notes

Bold, dark fruit flavors of blackberry and crème de cassis balanced with subtle oak nuances, a well-structured body, velvety tannins, and a lingering finish.
