Profile & Story
Ktima Kir-Yianni was founded in 1997 by Yiannis Boutaris, with its home estate near Naoussa and further vineyards in Amyndeon, in Greek Macedonia. This Assyrtiko is sourced from young vines (average age 10 years) on the mountainous plateau of Amyndeon, at 600–700m in the Agios Panteleimonas district of Florina, where poor sandy soils and the moderating influence of four neighboring lakes shape a cool, elegant expression of the variety.
Tasting Notes
Dry and medium-bodied, refreshing and bright with crisp acidity; flavors of apple, pomelo, grapefruit, lemon peel, pineapple, kiwi, minerals, and salinity.
