Château de la Ragotière dates to the 14th century in the Loire's Muscadet Sèvre-et-Maine appellation; the Couillaud brothers (Bernard, François and Michel) purchased the estate in 1979 and farm 55 hectares, including 25 hectares of some of the appellation's finest Melon de Bourgogne vineyards, with vines averaging over 25 years old. This cuvée is aged sur lie for extra texture and complexity.
Tasting Notes
Citrus notes blend with hazelnut and brioche on the nose, leading to a soft, full palate with surprising roundness for a Muscadet.
