Profile & Story

Maison M. Chapoutier, based in Tain-l'Hermitage, is one of the Rhône Valley's leading négociant-producers, long committed to biodynamic viticulture. The Marius range showcases the warmer vineyards of the Mediterranean south; this rosé blends Grenache grown on clay-limestone hillsides with Cinsault from sandier plain sites. Grapes are night-harvested to preserve freshness, and the wine is made as a direct-press rosé with minimal racking to build volume while keeping its freshness.

Tasting Notes

Bright rose-petal color with a floral, slightly amylic nose; clean, full and well-balanced on the palate, with bright strawberry and white-peach fruit — the Grenache contributing juicy red-fruit character and the Cinsault adding elegance and delicate florality.

Pairing Recommendation

Suited to aperitif drinking and Provençal-style summer fare — salads, grilled dishes and southern French cuisine.
