Thibault Liger-Belair took over his family's Burgundy vines in 2001 at age 26, continuing a winemaking tradition that traces back roughly 250 years. Les Charmes, from 40-year-old vines in Lugny, marked the domaine's first white-wine bottling since 2011. The Chardonnay is hand-harvested, given a slow three-hour press, and aged in stainless steel for 14 months to preserve freshness.
Tasting Notes
Fresh, full-bodied, harmonious and delicate, this white Burgundy is especially appealing in its youth, with notes of exotic fruit and citrus wrapped in a velvety texture, finishing powerfully with hints of white pepper and anise.
