Torbreck Vintners was founded in 1994 by David Powell in Marananga, on the western ridge of the Barossa Valley; the 'Woodcutter's' range takes its name from Powell's time working as a woodsman in Scotland. Woodcutter's Semillon is 100% Semillon (the pink-skinned Madeira clone) sourced from the Ebenezer and Rowland Flat districts, whole-bunch pressed, with older parcels fermented and aged in seasoned French barriques.
