Profile & Story
Vouni Panayia, founded in 1987 by oenologist Andreas Kyriakides, was Cyprus's first private regional winery. The estate sits near the village of Panayia in the Paphos district, close to 1,000 meters up in the Troodos foothills. Alina is made from 100% Xynisteri, Cyprus's most widely planted white variety, from vines up to 70 years old.
Tasting Notes
Straw-colored with greenish shades, showing herbal, floral and fleshy white stone-fruit aromas with citrus zest; dry, harmonious and refreshing with a pleasantly bitter, lemony finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Pairs well as an aperitif or with Cypriot meze, grilled fish or herbed chicken.
