Altùris is a family winery in the Friulian hills near Cividale del Friuli, in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia region of northeastern Italy, on the plains-to-hills borderland the estate's name is meant to evoke. This Sauvignon is produced under the broader Venezia Giulia IGT and is gently pressed, given a cold static must settling, and then fermented and aged sur lie in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes
The wine shows a bright, lively straw-yellow color with greenish hues, and an elegant, intense aroma of sage, tomato leaf, and mint layered with grapefruit and exotic fruit. The palate is fresh, round, and fruity, with good persistence.
Pairing Recommendation
Recommended as an aperitif, and with fish starters such as crab or lobster, asparagus, vegetable soups, or herb-based risottos. Best served at 10–12°C.
