Profile & Story
Boyer de Bar is a collaboration between Vincent Boyer, winemaker at Domaine Boyer-Martenot in Meursault, and his childhood friend Emmanuel Lucas de Bar, who farms organic vineyards in the Hérault Valley of the Languedoc. Founded in 2018, the project applies Burgundian winemaking sensibility to southern French fruit. This Pinot Noir, 'Les Rives de L'Estang,' is 100% Pinot Noir from vines over fifteen years old, grown on yellow clay and limestone in the Hérault Valley and farmed organically. The wine is de-stemmed and fermented with indigenous yeast, then aged twelve months in barrel — 30% new oak — followed by eight months in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes
A light, fresh Pinot Noir with notes of wild strawberry, candied cranberry, and wet stone.
