Weingut Brand is a family estate on the northern edge of the Pfalz, on the left bank of the Rhine around Bockenheim, now run by the fifth generation of the Brand family. The winery favors a low-intervention, minimal-manipulation approach across its range. Haus Weiss is, in the producer's words, "your daily low intervention Tischwein" — an everyday table wine blending Weissburgunder (Pinot Blanc) with a splash of Silvaner, added because it "adds some spiciness and minerality to the blend without overtaking the fruit." Both varieties are grown on loam and loess soils with a high proportion of limestone.
