About the Wine

Vaucluse comes from Latin "VALLIS CLAVSA", literally "closed valley". From the Roman settlement, it has been the garden of Provence thanks to its blowing Mistral wind, its sun, and its multiple rivers. At 350 meters high, in the piedmont of Ventoux, the "Giant of Provence", Domaine du Tix benefits from this pretty sun, but also fresh nights and abundant morning dew. Its wines invite a voyage through wind, sun, pine, and fig trees under cicadas buzzing. Malolactic fermentation in casks, before a 10 months ageing in french oak barrel. Syrah 89%, Grenache 11%.

Tasting Notes

The best expression of Ventoux terroir, combining the power of old vines and the freshness of soil. Delicate aromas of black anise, violet, and pear. Full-bodied with a long finish.
