Profile & Story

Giacomo Borgogno & Figli, established in 1761, is the most historic cellar in the village of Barolo, still fermenting in concrete without selected yeasts and aging in large Slavonian oak. This Langhe Nebbiolo, labeled 'No Name' in a nod to Borgogno's traditionalist stance, is 100% Nebbiolo grown on calcareous clay marl in the Barolo zone, fermented 15 days at 22-28C, then aged in large oak casks.

Tasting Notes

Ruby red with violet reflections; a persistent, ethereal nose of rose and violet with fresh fruit and spice, dry, harmonious, and velvety on the palate.
