Casato Prime Donne, where this Brunello is produced, is a 40-hectare Montalcino property with the first all-female winery staff in Italy, a project begun by Donatella Cinelli Colombini in 1998. The Brunello is 100% Sangiovese from the northern, cooler side of Montalcino at 225m, on clay-and-silt soils, farmed organically.
Tasting Notes
Brunello is the longest-aged Italian wine on the market, released four and a half years after harvest with at least two years in oak; a structured red built for long cellaring.
