Profile & Story

Tenute Pietro Caciorgna, a Tuscan farming family since 1953, expanded to Mount Etna's northern slope in 2006 after winemaker Paolo Caciorgna was inspired by a visit to Tenuta delle Terre Nere. Guardoilvento is 100% Nerello Mascalese from pre-phylloxera, alberello-trained vines at 750m in the comuni of Castiglione di Sicilia and Randazzo, on black volcanic soil rich in minerals; first vintage produced in 2013.

Tasting Notes

Perfumed with intense, delicate aromas of fresh fruit and spice; a full-bodied wine with gentle, soft tannins, easy to drink young but built to reward patience.
