Château Landat is a Cru Bourgeois estate in the commune of Vertheuil in the Haut-Médoc, recorded as a wine property since 1881 and already recognized as a cru bourgeois by 1908. Purchased by Gabriel Fabre in the mid-1970s and now run by the Fabre family's Domaines Fabre, the 14-hectare vineyard is planted to 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot and 5% Petit Verdot on vines averaging 30 years old.
Tasting Notes
A classic Haut-Médoc red blend, dominated by Cabernet Sauvignon with a supporting core of Merlot and Petit Verdot; dark-fruited with the firm, structured tannin typical of the appellation.
