Carboniste. Sourced from Gomes Vineyard on Andrus Island (Sacramento River Delta); the Gomes family has farmed the site since the 1800s after immigrating from Portugal's Vinho Verde region, and it is dry-farmed and transitioning to organic certification. Native-yeast fermentation in stainless steel; traditional method, bottled with fresh yeast and a small amount of sugar for secondary fermentation, then riddled and hand-disgorged after a short aging to preserve brightness and freshness. 100% Albarino, 12% ABV. Note: the producer's current release shown at this link is labeled 2024.
