Profile & Story
Hendry, Napa Valley. Sourced from five different blocks on the Hendry Ranch, all on the sunny side of Redwood Creek; diverse clones (Dijon 115 and 118, Joseph Swan Selection, ENTAV 828, and FPS 96, 97, and 108) lend complexity. Fermented on 100% native yeasts, free-run wine only, aged 11 months in French oak barrels (50% new). 14.0% alcohol; 336 cases produced.
Tasting Notes
Elegant and balanced, with red fruits, floral notes, subtle baking spice, and black tea on the finish. Medium ruby color, with rose petal, cherry, and savory aromatic notes; lovely, smooth front-palate entry, medium-bodied with cranberry, cherry liqueur, herbal, and leathery components, moderate tannins and baking spice on the finish.
Pairing Recommendation
Will shine with savory, medium-rich dishes like stuffed mushrooms, grilled figs with goat cheese and bacon, chicken stewed in wine with wild mushrooms and basil, or soy-sauce basted pork loin.
