Proprietors Kimberly Jackson, Trent Jackson, and Dan Parrott; winemaker Kirk Venge. Celebrating three generations of the wine-loving Jackson family, JAX crafts terroir-driven wines from a highly acclaimed Sonoma Coast vineyard. This Y3 Rose is a true Vin Gris: 100% Pinot Noir, quickly crushed and whole-cluster pressed after harvest, then placed directly into a stainless-steel fermenter as with white wine grapes, allowing minimal skin maceration for a delicate, pale pink wine. Fermented cool in stainless steel. Sonoma Coast appellation, 11% alcohol, 600 cases produced.
Tasting Notes
Bone-dry style with delicate stone fruit on the palate, retaining freshness and lift on the finish; the wine's Pinot Noir fruit retains bright strawberry character and crisp acidity. Described by the winery as "Lunch in Provence."
