La Sirena, Napa Valley (winemaker/owner Heidi Peterson Barrett). The 2022 Rosato is 100% Primitivo from Amador County, direct-press method, harvested August 27, 2022, with zero oak treatment. 13.6% alc., TA 6.45, pH 3.43; 473 cases produced. Nicknamed "the pink mermaid."
Tasting Notes
Beautiful soft petal pink color, with vibrant fruity aromas of strawberries, pink grapefruit, and cantaloupe, plus a lovely floral note adding complexity. Bright, mouthwatering acidity with clean flavors matching the aromatics; crisp and dry, but with a candy-like impression on the palate from the intense fruit flavors. Very well balanced.
Pairing Recommendation
Especially good with sushi, shrimp dumplings, poke bowls, or colorful vegetable salads with a citrus dressing.
