Profile & Story
La Villette takes its name from the historic Paris district once home to the city's central food market; its label depicts the Canal St-Martin, evoking the neighborhood's lively bistro culture. The wine is made by Badet Clement.
Tasting Notes
Winemaking combines a long, partly cold maceration to capture pure fruit character with warmer oak fermentation for spice, followed by 6 to 9 months of oak aging. The result is a dark purple wine with a rich red-fruit nose and a palate of licorice, roasted coffee and dark chocolate mingled with black cherry and cinnamon, framed by velvety tannins and a cedar-tinged finish.

Recommended with grilled beef, roasted chicken, or a cheese and cracker board.
